I put up another video of the babyshamble, but I held the camera the other way, so you've got to cock your head sideways to watch it. It's over in the videoblog, since the xanga editor won't let me put it here.

Kids and Presidents
I told Seph about our new president. Her comment?
"I hope he gets rid of all the red lights."
Certainly an interesting first move to ponder.

Our Day, and Cheap Gas!
Just after I went to vote 'other':
And believe me, I wish Other would win.
After that, we headed to the gas station:
Halloween pix soon. The kids had a great time, with friends over for supper and then a round of candy-begging. I told the kids about Mischief Night, and they wanted to head out, but I told them they'd need to wait until next time.
Oh and thank one of the kids for the old-timey look. I suppose voting demands sepia tones for some aesthetics.

Deep Thoughts From Rone
Yesterday we were at a friend's home, and Rone saw their son's trophy shelf. He plays several sports, and has all of his awards collected in his room. Rone's observation:
Wow! You have a lot of statues! You must be really good at winning statues!

"Rone, we don't want her nose dirt mixing with your nose dirt and causing explosions."
When you've uttered that sentence before finishing your cup of coffee, you're in for a good day.
Cotton adores Rone, and he loves her right back. His methods of showing her how much, though, involve a lot of him butting into her with his head. Which makes me nervous, and sometimes knocks her down. I'm always telling him, "Keep your head away from her head!" In the most nagging-annoying-mom fashion.
